1. About nuzl

nuzl connects animal shelters with volunteers who help care for pets and create content that helps them get adopted. We provide the platform; shelters run their own programs, shifts and requirements.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials private, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Volunteer accounts are for individuals; shelter accounts are created only by invitation after we review a shelter access request.

If you are under 18, you may need a parent or guardian's permission and some shelters set minimum age requirements for their shifts.

3. Booking and attending shifts

Booking a shift is a commitment to the shelter. Cancel through nuzl as early as you can if plans change. Repeated no-shows may result in losing access to a shelter's shifts or to the platform.

While on site you must follow the shelter's rules, instructions and safety guidance. Shelters, not nuzl, supervise volunteer activity.

4. Content you create

You keep ownership of photos and videos you create. By sharing them through nuzl you grant nuzl and the shelter a non-exclusive licence to use them to promote pet adoption. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the platform: no harassment, no false information, no attempts to access other people's data, no scraping, and no interfering with the service or its security.

6. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms, put animals or people at risk, or misuse shelter access.

7. Disclaimers and liability

nuzl is provided as-is. We do not guarantee shift availability, shelter conduct or volunteer conduct. To the extent permitted by law, nuzl is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform or from volunteering activity.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as nuzl grows. If a change is significant we will let you know by email or in the app. Continuing to use nuzl after an update means you accept the revised terms.
